There are races for the Pennsylvania House and Senate that are extremely important to property owners. We need school property tax elimination. The only fair measure that accomplishes this objective is House Bill 1275.

Actions speak louder than words.
I may be wrong, but I think this is the only local guide for taxpayers.
They better eliminate our property taxes so we have enough money to pay for the tax increases we will get under Obama and the Democrat congress. You useful idiots out there who believe Obama is actually going to lower your taxes are in for a big surprise. You want him, you're going to get him.
Obama wants to raise taxes in a recession. This will lose jobs. All this so he can redistribute our money. He is no better than Wall Street.
O'Pake wants to raise income taxes, too !!
Don't forget that O'Pake voted for his own huge pay raise. The pay raise that cost Dennis Leh and Chip Brightbill their jobs. O'Pake was just lucky he wasn't up for re-election then. Now is the time to get rid of O'Pake. Over 40 years in Harrisburg and nothing to show for it except a stinkin map!
Their should be term limits. Career politicians serve only themselves.
O'Pake will win because there are so many elderly voters who his office might have helped out with a problem or who he gave a map to one time. He hands out milkshakes at the Oley Fair for an hour every year and people think he's their buddy. It's time voters woke up and put someone in who will actually vote to lower taxes and help bring the state government under control. O'Pake's position on the Pa Higher Ed Board was a disgrace. He and his cronies turned a blind eye to the corruption going on there and the money squandered that should have gone for scholarships.
It's time for Mike to be put out to pasture but will the voters have the guts to do it?
O'Pake is a disappointment. In all the years he has been in Harrisburg, he has done nothing for the homeowner. He did give himself a hefty pay increase!

Obama's victory insures more pressure on suburban local property taxes. More federal money will be sent to inner city schools and rural districts will be left to defend for themselves.
The responsible property owners have been abandoned by the federal and state governments.
Thanks Oley for reelecting Dave (ain't I wonderful) Kessler. You have shown even less intelligence than ever. At least two more years of meaningless townhall meetings, no tax reform and pandering to the most liberal members of the community.
The same can be said about re-electing O'Pake.
Police in Oley Township say supervisors are considering service cuts to save money on the 2009 budget. They say those cuts could chop part of the department's operating budget and result in the layoffs of two police officers. Oley police say those cuts would leave the township with no choice but to rely on the State Police to help patrol the town. A public budget meeting is planned for November 29th at nine a.m. Township supervisors couldn't be reached for comment tonight.
So Kessler is planning cuts in the Oley Township budget. I'm anxious to see how many cuts he proposes for the state budget.
There were extended discussions concerning classes about sex education for 8th graders. The concerns were about content and enrollment requirements.
Mr. Cappa wanted to force children into the class by having an opt-out policy. Other board members felt an opt-in feature would be more parent friendly.
Mr. Bieber wanted clarity on course instruction because he thought the current description was vague. He wanted more transparency for parents to make informed decisions about their children taking this class.
